The Intermediate Tax Accountant will prepare federal, state, and local tax returns and maintains organization tax records. 

Key Responsibilities include:

Prepare filings for tax refunds and research inquiries from government agencies regarding filings, compliance, and other claims.

Research tax methods and present proposals to optimize tax liability through the use of laws and regulations.

Organize and maintain tax records and conduct tax studies and special projects.

Examine and reconcile tax related accounts and assist in tax accounting.

Maintain knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax laws and regulations, and SEC requirements.

Ensure that organization complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements.

Prepare/review fixed asset reports and other financial reports.

Investigate and prepare draft responses to notices from various taxing jurisdictions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft products and computer literacy, especially Excel.

Strong analytical skills with attention to details.

Two to four years of professional tax compliance experience.

Experience with Corptax compliance software preferred.

MST or MSA preferred.
