Book Fair- Inside Sales Supervisor- Newly created!

Follett Book Fairs are exciting, literacy-focused school events that provide students, parents and teachers access to the very best grade-level appropriate titles from the top publishers in the world. These week-long "pop-up" events allow families to build their home libraries, while helping raise funds to support school and parent organizations.

This highly visible role will supervise Sales Coordinators, Event Coordinators, and Sales Support (Sales Team) staff. Maintains inside sales related records and institutes supervisory measures to increase productivity. Guides and monitors inside sales representatives' progress. Assists management in developing sales training strategies. Provides training and supervises execution of sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Coach, develop, and supervise sales team. Creates and maintain policies appropriate for smooth departmental operation. Provide monthly measurement reports for constant improvement. Analyze reports for important trends affecting overall company performance, including book fair capacities by week and location. Recommend improvements to ensure customers and sales team maintain a positive company perception.

Assign territories/call plans to sales team. Evaluates sales progress and ensure sales team is following event management guidelines. Verifies call plans and work with team members to follow sales plans.

Assist in departmental human resource requirements including: hiring, training, coaching, evaluations and disciplinary activities including termination.

Prepare and train the inside sales team prior to launching new products and services and updates to current products and services. Partner with Sales trainer identify needed training and supporting materials. Train sales and event coordinators on territory management, account management, sales tools, and selling techniques.

Job Requirements

Requirements Include:

Minimum 1 to 3 years comparable experience.

Knowledge of the book fair business, understanding of selling and servicing accounts, and leadership qualities will be essential. High School Degree or equivalent. General computer skills.
